Definitely Dubais most I discovered Japanese spot,These guys tucked away near beef bar in DIFC.Hostess wheeled us in to have a look at the cosy authentic Japanese set up & from that moment it was on!Welcome nuts , I don’t know how they make them into biscuit looking things but very different &Very addictive ,And over to the food, the mushroom truffle starter is wow ,The makis (with a special type of wrap ) is also wow , the wagyu sliders also very impressive and addictive .Sashimi = one of the freshest I’ve had in Dubai ,But equally important I was just impressed by the staffing , Charlie is a true restauranteur who carry’s a type of energy that you find in legendary places in perhaps newyork or London .Definitely my regular spot now and I recommend for anyone for a tasty night out

Let me start by saying that this place is a true hidden gem. They have some of the best sushi in Dubai and for decent prices! It’s currently my favorite sushi place. They bring their seafood straight from Toyosu market. I thought they were exaggerating, but once you try the nigiri sushi, you’ll know it’s the real deal (the fatty tuna is so buttery).Some of the maki rolls here are worth trying, such as the salmon and spicy tuna. Other dishes that I enjoyed: salad with black sesame (forgot its name) and shrimp tempura (not exactly tempura, but the shrimp will melt in your mouth). I didn’t find their desserts to be on par, but their mochi selection is pretty good, especially the coconut and black sesame.The service was equally top-notch. Our waiter, Lawrence, was professional and chill at the same time. Thanks for helping us navigate the menu and for making us feel comfortable.As long as they keep bringing top quality seafood, they will stay among my favorite places to eat sushi and I’ll keep coming back.

We had the 7 course tasting menu for lunch. For each course customers choose a category, vegetarian / proteins / seafood, and the chef will choose the specific dishes. The pace was good and the food was very enjoyable. Sashimi was very fresh and vibrant. Nice touch with the fresh ground wasabi. Will be back for sure.

I visited at least six times, predominantly for business lunches.A great experience, some mix of classic with modern interpretations of Japanese food, well curated mid-range whiskey selection, some good sake, and great service from the staff and the young creative Chef.It is a little bit difficult to find, it is at street level and has a low key door and entrance almost behind beefbar.

The staff at Uchi made me discover the world of Japanese whiskeys. Every drink was meticulously paired with a delicious plate, the wagyu short ribs were the highlight for me.The cozy layout of the restaurant and the impeccable service gave me a true Japanese vibe.I will definitely be back!

Tucked in the corner of DIFC we found a cozy gem of a place. Aesthetically designed with a very ‘japanese-esque’ vibes UCHI nailed the ambiance. The food was delectable, the service was top notch: especially Larson and Lawrence. With Live DJ amping up the place, UCHI is the place to be. We would definitely be going back.
