RARE is such a hidden gem of a brasserie in Dubai. I absolutely loved the decor - it was modern & high quality, but, not over the top (which some places can especially be in Dubai). From the moment I arrived I was greeted at the door and attentively looked after from that moment. The quality of food was superb, understated, somewhat homey & slightly different offerings to what you would think you’d find in a steakhouse, but, a chic version of this. The crispy brussel sprouts, the heirloom tomato & peach salad, the wagyu tartare and the wagyu strip sirloin being the favorites that I shared with my friend - do not think for a moment that you can’t have the brussel sprouts!!! The wine and cocktail selection is reasonably priced, well sourced and thoughtful, growing up in South Africa I was pleased to see many GREAT choices of South African wines (often its big names that really aren’t the best offerings, but, not in this instance).Our waiter Jerome was attentive, kind, efficient and fun!! He made great suggestions and had incredible things to say that were helpful when I made inquiries. Overall you can tell that the persons working in the restaurant are happy to be there & work well with each other.I’m looking forward to returning, considering a ladies night or the live music on a Friday - I have a feeling the acoustics are just perfect for it! The lighting is also so subtle and nice in the establishment, it’s perfect for a date night or a fun group setting! I will definitely be returning!

My favorite restaurant in Dubai – absolutely recommendedRare Brasserie is the place where I truly find everything I love: steak tartare, entrecôte, scallops, sea bass, or burrata – simply outstanding! The sauces are unique and have their own signature, but they are never over the top. The cooking is honest and skillful.Despite the premium atmosphere, the place remains down-to-earth. The entire team is attentive, warm, and always helpful. You feel welcome and can simply enjoy a relaxed, wonderful evening. And the food is actually filling – which is not always a given.If you appreciate good wine, you’ll find a great selection here. Beer lovers will be happy too, as there’s even Bira Moretti on tap – a real highlight for me. And as someone who enjoys a decaf espresso in the evening, I’m impressed: the coffee here is just excellent!And the best part: getting this quality at this price in Dubai is simply fair. For me, it’s the best spot in town. I’ll always be happy to come back!

We had a fantastic dinner at Rare Brasserie with friends last Friday. The menu is creative but comforting — we started with the tuna crudo (perfectly fresh) and the bone marrow toast (rich and delicious). The bolognese fritti and fried olives were addictive too.For mains, the 9+ Wagyu striploin was exceptional, cooked just right with a clever wasabi cream twist, and the slow-braised short rib was melt-in-the-mouth good. Special mention to the crispy sprouts and the silky Paris mash — seriously good sides.Cocktails were spot on, and Sahil, the owner, made us feel genuinely welcome with great wine recommendations.We ended with the whipped burnt cheesecake and soft chocolate dessert — both indulgent but light.A relaxed, stylish spot with real personality. Can’t wait to come back.

Visited last Friday and had a lovely evening here. The ambiance feels like you are actually in a brasserie in Paris both with the Dubai service standards! Food was amazing and very friendly and attentive service. We loved the live singer and band (although volume could be little bit less) everything else was perfect. Will be back soon!

Absolutely delicious food and amazing service (special thanks to Blessing and Jerome). For appetizers, we ordered the Heirloom tomato and peach salad, bresaola, burrata, and the charred octopus skewers - all of which exceeded expectations. Then for the main course, we had the Mediterranean sea bass fillet, half roasted chicken, and the slow braised short rib. They were all so delicious and filling, but the sea bass was a shining star. Finally for dessert, we had the date and ginger pudding, and the soft chocolate. The date pudding was outstanding. The ambiance was also wonderful, it was moody and cozy, with great decor.

It was our first time in Rare and the ambiance was nice and chill since it was a Monday night and Ramadan. We enjoyed the dishes we ordered especially the Burrata, Wagyu Striploin in Wasabi Cream, and the Burnt Cheesecake. The Veal Milanese was huge, it was probably good for 4 persons. The staff were very hospitable and I even had a small conversation with one of them. We were seated in front of the open kitchen and one of the chefs even asked us about the food. The manager also came to our table to made sure our evening was going well. Overall the experience is amazing. I would come afain on a busier night where they have an event and dj. Thanks Rare team!

I moved to Dubai from NYC and this restaurant has New York vibes! It is a perfect spot for date night in Dubai and has won an award to prove it.We started off with cocktails at the bar which we really enjoyed. The cocktail menu has something for everyone.We tried a lot of starters, all were delicious, but the heirloom tomato and peach salad and the chicken skewers were amazing.I am very picky about steak and Rare does it perfectly and the steak arrived medium-rare as requested. My friend preferred the striploin but I preferred the filet. We had an assortment of sides that went perfectly - the crispy Brussels sprouts are a standout and should’ve been served in a bigger bowl and portion! We also really enjoyed the million layer potatoes and mashed potatoes with the steak.For dessert the whipped burnt cheesecake is perfect - sweet and salty.I will definitely be back, the terrace is perfect to enjoy in Winter and I want to return to enjoy indoor dining as well.

As someone who genuinely lives for a great steak, I’m so glad I discovered RARE Brasserie & Bar at City Walk. This place completely blew me away, not just with the food, but with the entire experience.The restaurant is beautiful and has a great vibe.Now, let’s talk steak. Wow. I ordered mine medium rare, and it came out absolutely perfect. You can really tell they take pride in their ingredients and preparation. Every bite was full of flavor, and the quality of the meat is top-tier. This is the kind of place where you actually remember your meal long after you’ve finished it.The service also stood out: friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food. Our server made excellent recommendations, and even the sides and sauces were spot on.If you love steak even half as much as I do, you need to put RARE on your list. I’ve already made plans to come back, and next time, I’m bringing friends. This place deserves to be shared.

Great atmosphere and really busy on Saturday night! The bar area was so congested, playing nice music . The food was good but not great. The beef tartare was such a small portion, not served any bread before the appetizer.we ordered the 1 kg porterhouse cooked medium rare. It came medium and covered in so much sauce, so if you are a real meat lover you should ask for the sauce on the side. For the price of the premium meats , a side dish should be given at least. This is a standard practice in most restaurants that serve porterhouse and tomahawk. Overall a modern and busy place !

This place is amazing!! The food is delicious with unique flavour combinations that are not too extravagant, but down to earth. You can taste the quality of ingredients is well picked and really high. We shared a few dishes and I can not tell you which one I liked the most because all of them were prepared to perfection. The service is super friendly, the atmosphere very cozy and not too loud. So good for conversation. A MUST visit in Dubai!

The wasabi cream was a surprising and excellent addition, adding just the right amount of kick without overpowering the dish. The crispy Brussels sprouts were a standout; I don’t even like sprouts, yet this was one of the best sides I’ve ever had. Fair price, attentive service, and high-quality ingredients make Rare a must-visit. I left this review because it’s the first place we’ve been for a while that haven’t asked us for a review (how it should be!)

We celebrated a special occasion at Rare and it was fantastic! The place has a cool New York-meets-Paris vibe, perfect for a chic date night. We started with the Bone Marrow Toast and dozens of delicious Oysters, which were divine, and the Grilled Seabass was cooked to perfection. !The old fashion drink we had was well prepared, and the free Rose wine offered was very fruity and delicious.The staff were super friendly and made our night special. I went during the summer restaurant week, when they have lunch deal for 95AED 2 courses. The staff are super polite and caring, they will come to your table a couple of times to check if is everything ok. I would go back but during night time, I believe the lights in restaurant may cause a better atmosphere during dinner time. Saying this because Sunday, lunch time it was empty and couldn’t feel the vibe the place could have. I don’t remember if there was a nice background music, but for sure not loud as we could speak and chat properly. Ok, sorry, let’s skip to the food, the food is good, for sure I can say taste, we had the mussels, the ragu pasta and roasted chicken, but not that food you will remember of go back for it. I didn’t try the desert but i saw and looked good.

Took advantage of the Summer restaurant deal to try Rare. My wife and I were not disappointed! It is a really nice interior inside, intimate and just enough low lighting to keep privacy from other tables but enough so you can see people on your table.All that means nothing if the food cant back it up, and it really does! We like to use these 3 course menus to try new restaurants before deciding to go back and sample the main ala carte menu. There wasnt a dud from the 6 different dishes we had.Starters:I went with the Seared Tune Crudo, lovely soft and tasty Tuna with a delicate sauce that complemented it perfectly. Had to pace myself to prolong to experience. My wife went with the Heirloom tomato and peach salad. The whipped goats cheese was beautifully light and was not to strong to over power the tomatos and peaches. There was a paprika dressing which just added that little bit extra to finalise a really tasty starter.Mains:My choice was the ox cheek, if this is in a menu, then it is an easy choice for me. I love this cut of meat, when its cooked well, which this was. Beautifully soft, it cut like butter. But still meaty when eating. I wish I could recreate this texture in my many attempts. It came with butternut mash which was nice and sweet which complemented the richness of the cheek. Could have had 2 of these and debated a 3 serving. My wifes choice was the Oyster blade (medium rare) which was cooked perfectly. It had a nice char round the outside and the small piece I was allowed to sample was was really tender and tasted superb. She raved about the salsa that it was served in but I had no chance of sampling that. It went that quick that it must have been something special. The main s were accompanied by grilled greens with an anchovy butter and a Paris mash. The green we nice and al dented and the anchovy butter was nice and subtle and let the taste of the greens really come through. The mash was sooooo smooth.Desserts:Luckily there were only 2 options so we go both of them. The warm cookie came with vanilla ice cream and a chocolate sauce. Who doesnt like warm chocolate cookies?? It didnt last too long and got a resounding thumbs up from my wife and a big smile at the end of it. The raspberry souffle was divine, I replaced the coconut gelato with vanilla one cream. The souffle was bang on! Just the right amount of raspberry tangyness and a soft smooth texture with small bits of the ice cream. It was an absolute winner of a dessert. Will be ordering g this in every visit!In summary, great food, great setting with great service. Of your havent been, then get Rare on your list of places to visit. Will be booking in again very soon!

The service was impeccable, with a special shoutout to Jerome and Chris, who made us feel like VIPs with their warm hospitality and attention to detail. They really went above and beyond to ensure we had a flawless experience.The highlight of the evening, apart from the exceptional food, was the bartender named Kurt. Not only did he craft some of the most exquisite cocktails, but he also entertained us with his knowledge and passion for mixology. The atmosphere is perfect for groups and couples and the location is ideal in the new licensed part of Citywalk. The great food is paired with great service, will be back again.

I enjoyed the wagyu steak the most, though it was a very thick cut so would have preferred the sides of each slice to be seared teppanyaki style since we usually order it medium cooked. However the wasabi creme paired with the steak was stunning.The pasta with mornay was tasty, but nothing special. The quality of bresaola used was top notch, as were the crisps, but did not like the addition of boiled eggs. Better without it. Bone marrow toast was small and left us bereft of satisfaction.Service was very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately they had mosquitoes inside the restaurant and my daughter and I got several bites which left us uncomfortable for the entire meal.Would I come back? Not likely. There are simply too many award winning restaurants in Dubai.

What a lovely evening at Rare. I visited with my husband and we really appreciated the venue, food and service. The service was great - Olha and Jerome were welcoming and accommodating. Rhit stood out to us as a very knowledgeable waitress and went above and beyond in her service. The food was exceptional. Our stands outs were: the beef tartar, the seared tuna, and the date pudding with delicious sauce. The atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. The bar design is super impressive and served gorgeous and original cocktails. I really liked the clarified rum cocktail with wine and the yoghurt washed negroni. So unique! I also really liked the soaps in the washrooms. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Almost impossible to fault. The food was fantastic, service excellent, and the ambience lovely. If youre looking for a fine dining experience in the heart of Dubai this place should be on your list.

Okay, simply EXCELLENT!!!!!! Food??? Genuinely the best fresh food i’ve had!! I beg you to try the burnt whipped cheescake, the chicken skewers, and the scallops. Just perfection. We wanted to hug the chef.. lol. But Bravo! Bravo bravo!!

Been missing CMP, but it seems CMP is back in a different dress, with real goodies!A new spot that offers great, diverse food. Interiors and ambiance beautiful. Owner and the team very hospitable. Visited on their 2nd day after opening so provided some constructive feedback. Came back after a month and god, huge improvement, and now is one of my favorite places to visit. Surely recommend it, and look forward to visiting again.
