We had a nice evening at Okku. The cocktails were innovative and well-crafted, definitely a highlight. The food was good, but compared to many other restaurants in Dubai, it didn’t stand out. The service was generally good, but surprisingly, no one asked how we liked our food. The ambiance was really nice, but the live music, while enjoyable, was far too loud for a nearly empty venue. Overall, a solid experience, but with some room for improvement.

We went for brunch as a big group and absolutely loved it!The food is absolutely incredible, they have a sushi & yakitori bar to go up & help yourself & then the mains arrive at the table. Price is great for what you get. Was a fun vibe, but didn’t really get going until late into the brunch, so would definitely prefer more entertainment throughout the brunch. When it did get going it was definitely a fun party vibe!Service was also incredible, they catered to my pregnant friend and made her some special dishes!Would definitely go again.

Disco brunch was amazing 🤩Outstanding food, Japanese cuisine 👌Live performances 💃It becomes loud at about 3 or 4pm because the disco starts and it’s absolutely great time!The DJ is outstanding! If you love some retro disco hits, this is a must visit!Highly recommended and been here twice as we brought along friends and they all loved it!It’s busy as always packed! So make sure you call for reservations!Traffic at 1pm is terrible in that area so make sure to come earlier otherwise you will be stuck for one hr! Valet parking available which is really convenient 🫶

We were at OKKU’s for Wednesday’s night and it was really lovely experience! So impressed with how friendly everyone was and the service is really fast and accurate!The next thing that I want to highlight is the food, it’s the perfect Japanese fusion style with great flavor, however it’s a portion of snack food so go for extra main course if you’re hungry.I love the vibe and live music entertainment was so much fun! I rate overall experience 10/10 easily ✨

My girls and I went here for L.O.V.E. Wednesday and we had the best time! We got the 175aed package which did not have a rose wine and dessert which is still a great deal. You get 3 bites from the menu plus edamame and 3 hours unlimited drinks. You can also move to the bar after for their free wine. Yes, free wine at the bar!There was also a surprise, live drummer , dj and a samurai performanceand and some free shots! Fancy dancing? The floor is yours and you can dance your heart out to the tunes from the dj.Definitely going again and grabbing all my girls for a really fun ladies night!

Visited for Saturday dinner OKKU Dubai. The hospitality was on top, atmosphere was nice and the DJ played grew music which was not loud. I had mushrooms risotto and I didn’t like it. It was too salty and it seemed I ate sauce with rice instead of rice with a dash of sauce. My recommendation is to improve this dish as it might be your bestseller in future. Thanks for Umeshi Japanese plump wine it’s rare to find in Dubai.

Okku is located on the Palm Jumeirah one of the hottest destinations in Dubai. The food was exceptional, we literally kept on trying several items so much the food was a true experience. The service from staff to management were very friendly explaining the story behind each plate. The have some house cocktails that are a must try and mainly the smoked whiskey. It was a great experience with a live entertainment show but the place was not fully crowded which might be due to our visit on a Wednesday night. All in all a must try place.

Had an amazing evening, with a group of friends. The food was was so delicious. We ordered some amazing sushi, truffle rice, lots of desserts and some nice drinkes. It was a pleasure to meet the owners that evening who gave us the tour of their restaurant and explained the details behind it. The couches were so comfy that we stayed almost closing time 😍 . The Saturday brunch is incredible! The food here is amazing, but the fun vibe makes the experience a 10/10.We danced the afternoon away to retro tunes. The dj had a great selection with songs spacing from Backstreet Boys and Macarena to Bella Ciao.The brunch packages start from 295 aed and include an unlimited buffet with a variety of nighiri, sashimi, maki, kushiyaki and ceviche that gets replenished until the very end.There were also unlimited starters, a choice of main and sooo many desserts. The entertainment, food quality and price ratio is unparalleled in Dubai!

We went to Okku restaurant last night. It was so nice place with good atmosphere, amazing music and delicious food. How dj was mixing different songs with arabic songs made songs even better. The eight full-size 3D printed samurai, local art, and wooden furniture enhance the atmosphere and embodies the menu by fusing the modern and traditional cultures of Japan.We had the ōtoro (fatty tuna belly) and the kamatoro (back cheek) and it was as melty and flavorful as anything Ive had. Id highly suggest coming for the tuna cutting show as they offer a special tasting menu where you can try all different parts of the freshly cut tuna.The highlight for us was definitely the tuna, however, the mains and desserts were also very well balanced and tasty. The attention to detail is outstanding and they even put yuzu-kosho on the wagyu skewers.Overall, I cant recommend OKKU highly enough and keep an eye out for the next tuna cutting experience on their instagram page.

I love the past, especially when it remains in its original glory. OKKU is one of those places, a living legend that survived the recent financial crisis and following chaos. Additionally, the hotel where OKKU is located changed its name and owners, but the transformation had no effect on the restaurant.OKKU, a contemporary Japanese restaurant since its opening in 2009, reinvented the Dubai party seen by filling the house every night including Sundays (quiet day of the week for restaurants here), and being the place to be seen. The hottest DJs, mega private parties with LA rich and famous, no place left to stand, mind blowing cuisine and insanely beautiful hosts and hostesses, OKKU had it all. People loved it (even when they were turned away). Today OKKU is more of a restaurant than a party lounge, catering to hotel guests, curious foodies and nostalgists like me.OKKU starts with a greeting counter leading to a narrow path with a curtain of glitter that eventually opens into a bar and a spacious lounge on the left. The slightly insane aquarium with visibly attractive but barely real jellyfish reminds me of the crazy past. Skilled bartenders keep pouring, shaking, smoking and mixing, leaving a few gaps in between for a quick verbal exchange. From time to time a giant cube of ice gets imprinted with the famous OKKU stamp and the bar life moves on to the next cocktail. My request for a moderately sweet and sour mocktail raised an eyebrow. They wanted me to party! And I did.The famous OKKU food didn’t fade it past glory either. A quick look around convinced me to start with deliciously healthy edamame, followed by an enormous order of sushi and sashimi resting on ice, a celebrity cod dish and everyone’s favourite wagyu steak and green veggies, cooked right at the table on a giant rock of salt. I had a very pleasant evening with my sister yesterday evening. The food was yummy. The black Cod is a must try as it is one of the best Ive ever had. The ambience, the vibe, the very professional waiters, the receptionist was beyond exceptional. However, special thanks to our waiter- PROTTAP who made our experience unforgettable. Price for two people could cost about AED 600. Ill definitely visit again if I visit Dubai.

This brunch was one of the best brunches I’ve been to in a long time! Absolutely amazing and tasty food! The service was super fast for drinks throughout the whole brunch! Amazing!!! The food and drinks, service, atmosphere was amazing. I cannot stress how good everything is. The truffle rice was my favorite and you have to try to okku signature drink and the coconut drink. I don’t even like alcohol but I had sips of the drinks and they were so good. Blew my mind. You have to come here!!
