MAMA ZONIA was located on the 2nd floor of Pier 7 next to the Dubai Marina Mall.Upon entering, we were greeted with host. She sat us outside on the balcony. Here, we enjoyed the Dubai Marina view. It’s such a vibe. Paradise decor on marble, Club music instrumentals and the weather was perfect.We ordered 3 Sunday Specials. We each had a 3 course meal:Starters- chicken gyoza- crispy salmon- beef empanadaMeal- udon stir fry- chicken tonkatsu over fried rice- pepper beefDessert- banana cake- sorbetDrinks- water- PepsiThe food was a surprise. It was a fusion restaurant. Taking techniques from the east and combining it with the west. Each dish was delightful.Good food, good service, good atmosphere.Definitely an amazing experience.Will come again with friends and family!Ask for Smith. He’ll take good care of you!

Amazing experience at Mama Zonia, everything was perfect from A to Z!A special thanks to AJ for the amazing service! The cocktails were delicious, the food was absolutely amazing (the slow cooked prime beef short ribs were to die for) and the view from the terrace was breathtaking. The food was amazing!! The salmon tartar was incredible I loved it. The shrimp sushi was good but the crispy salmon sushi I didn’t like. The rice was overwhelming and it was deep fried. The waiter was extremely efficient and attentive; He made sure to cancel it from our bill. Can’t wait to go back and the view was gorgeous.

We went for the lazy Sunday lunch set menu and had a fabulous server called Smith. He was so attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. He took care of our table and even took photos for the group. I highly recommend the Sunday lazy set menu, it has a great value and great taste. The happy hour cocktails were delicious and so beautifully presented. I recommend booking a table in advance and ask for a table outside for lovely views of the Dubai Marina.

I went to mama zonia for a business lunch and was surprised at the plentiful portions and great food quality. We had the salmon poke bowl and the shrimp papaya salad as a starter which were both rich in flavor. For the mains the angus steak and pepper beef and finally for dessert the banana cake and caramel cheesecake. All portions were rich in flavor and quite filling. The service provided by Manu also improved our experience making sure to always check on us and the quality of the food.

This amazing restaurant is situated in Marina, near Marina Mall, a very beautiful black but still bright building, full of restaurants with an amazing view. I forgot its level. But the view is through all over Marina. In the evening is the most romantic place. Food is brilliant, my big respect for the chef 👨‍🍳. The service is perfect, our table was served by amazing and the top waiter his name was He or Hi, its the kind of service Im always expecting in all restaurants, you are served fast, without feeling of distraction or any kind of inconvenience. Not feeling as every tissue is taken from you even if you just touched it. Whenever you need the waiter he has an eye-contact with you. Like really top of the top! And everything was so absolutely delicious and most of all I enjoyed a simple meal ( cheese bread balls)because we ordered it twice, even if we were full!A dinner to remember!To save this memory, I confess that I stole a tablecloth, of an amazing quality, with initials embroidered.God so many amazing details, so its a perfect God blessed place!

Very nice place with spectacular view from outside places on the skyline of Dubai Marina (even though only located on 2nd floor). Great choice of beverages (Mai Thai is strongly recommended) and food (different kind of ceviche - marvelous!). Very friendly service. Also receptionists are very sympathic (compared to many other places). Reservation process went well: outside places were no problem. Great evening!

Located on the 6th floor of Pier 7 in Dubai, Marina Mama Zonia resembles the entrance to an Amazonian theme park. While the aesthetics and view of the waterfront are unique, the food is average. Dubai has plenty of South American eateries, including Sushi Samba, that serve as benchmarks. The beef stir-fry lacked a Brazilian flavour and could include pineapple and beans, two very popular ingredients added to a Brazilian stir fry. The service was friendly and efficient but slightly rushed. Mama Zonia does offer some imaginative promotions like the Monday Meat Up - 6PM to 11PM, a meat platter for two at a price of 365 AED.

Mama Zonia was great as always. The view is amongst the best in Dubai. Special mention most go to the staff member called Smith. He gave one of the best restaurant services, Ive had in Dubai. It was my wedding anniversary and I celebrated it there with my husband, the food was ok, very small portion though relative to the price, vegetarian sushis are not tasty, but the complimentary cheese cake offered by the friendly waiter Sushil was excellent. The music is so nice and the interior design is lovely and different giving the feel of amazon.One thing to improve is the customer service for reservations on the phone, needs more friendliness and more friendly emotions with the guests especially if it is a special occasion for the guest, it is good to wish happy anniversary or at least show friendliness.

Came for business lunch from 12:00 to 15:00. Loved everything so I stayed for happy hour from 16:00 to 18:00. The food is exceptional, for the business lunch make sure you get the Black Pepper Beef. Manu recommended this dish, and I personally dont always choose beef, but it was great. And for happy hour get the Life of Pi cocktail, delicious. When you here ask for Manu, he will ensure you have a wonderful experience. He is calm, knowledgeable and very efficient. Come here and enjoy 😉

We were fortunate to have the outdoor terrace seating that has a spectacular view of the Marina, but if youre indoors too, its just as nice.Upbeat live entertainment with dancers & music. The servers are cheerful and always checking in to make sure youre taken care of. I do recommend reserving a table in advance as even on weekdays, they are super busy.My family and I had an amazing time. Highly recommend this restaurant 👌 👏 👍.

It’s difficult not to be impressed and despite a few minor service issues and a price to portion ratio which seems a little too skewed in the restaurants favour on a couple of dishes, Mama Zonia makes for a good addition to the dining landscape of Dubai Marina. Inevitable comparisons are likely to be drawn to the similarly themed Hotel Cartagena at the JW Marriott Marquis, but that’s no bad thing. The menus are very similar but does Mama Zonia do enough to differentiate? We think so, for the beverage selection and interior design are undeniably strong allowing the personality of Mama Zonia to shine through. We look forward to getting lost in the jungle again soon.

Went to celebrate my cousin’s and sister’s birthday. We had dinner as well.Unfortunately, because of COVID-19, they night wasn’t as eventful as it would have been. Meaning, there weren’t those night vibes.Their food was, overall, delicious.- Thé banana guacamole was fantastic! I loved how they played with the banana and turned into crisps without making you feel the banana.- Thé emmental balls are soft, but hot inside so be careful. They are the right temperature but still don’t rush it in your mouth.- Regarding the dumpling, the duck dumpling tasted better than the chicken.- Thé volcano sushi is a masterpiece. It isn’t like the other sushi stores where they just pour sauce all over it. In here, it is fresh and original in making. It is worth it; it gives you the vibe.- The tuna sushi was also delicious and amazing. I love how they played well with their sushi to make it outstanding.- Black widow tacos are marvellous. I think they used prawn or lobster; not sure. It is of fair size; good for one but can be shared if you cut it well. Crispy in a fantastic way and by using the soft taco bread; the combination balanced it.- For the dessert, Mango Pango tasted better than the Caramel cheesecake. Note: the caramel cheesecake had a taste of orange (I am not a huge fan of orange with some food, but they mixed it well, but still there might be a bias in my words). The mango Pango was a tiramisu with mangoes and mango sorbet. We tried mixing the two desserts for fun and they tasted delicious together.For my drink, I ordered Mama something. It is spicy so I risked it. I thought it won’t really be spicy but it was and it hit really well. You can taste it with every sip, but the overall mixture was balanced, to a degree.I wish we tried the frog legs, sounded interesting, but maybe next time.The service was really good.1. Our waitress was lovely, helpful and she had the qualified mémorisation skills for such top restaurant. She was friendly and funny as well.2. Thé Guy who called me regarding our birthday plan was also helpful; he remembered the plan and made sure to tell his team. He maintained it and it wasn’t ruined.We enjoyed our stay there. Our waitress said they will hopefully get things back by September. Will hope to back by then.

I have been to clubs that werent that loud. We came outside and all 6 of us had a ringing in our ears.Id prefer the place for dinner and my advice do not sit near a speaker during brunch.It sounds as if we didnt like it, but we did. I’m not a fan of sharing platters during brunch but I didn’t mind it at Mamazonia cos the servings are generous and the food was great! Even my least favorite sushi wasn’t that bad so if you want to have some delish food, they won’t disappoint.Drinks were also great. And service eleas efficient and fast! Unlike other mid-proced brunches where you struggle ordering drinks, Mamazonia were lightning fast in serving.The ambiance was fun. And the crowd was just very friendly and great!

I celebrated my birthday today at mama zonia. The experience was amazing.We got a beautiful table with a beautiful view. AJ, our server was amazing. He did everything for me to have a perfect birthday. The food was very delicious. We had the black angus steak medium and sushi - very recommended!I even got a birthday celebration with music and fireworks.Thank you for that amazing experience especially to AJ!

We were a group of friends served by several people. At the begging was a bit chaotic. The waiter had broken the plate with guacamole. Then we had to asked several time to be removed the menus. Then all of the sudden all of them disappeared. In one word it was not as good , as it has to be. However they managed to bring all the food at the same time and it was delicious. Later, they became more attentive. Anyway, I give them 5 stars for the food and 4 stars for the service.

Absolutely amazing service, Julianny was so lovely and nothing was a problem for her, made us feel very comfortable, always checking on us, she was great.Also, the food was sooo good! Awesome place. Service was perfect. They brought our dishes super fast. Everything we ordered was delicious inclusive of the drinks. The ambiance was warm and exotic. The deco of the restaurant is really cool. I’ll be back 100% for the ceviche style dishes, the crab tacos, and the maki. I want to finish the whole menu! One small recommendation is to make sure to change the name of “sticky rice” to “steamed rice”. Can’t wait to go back!

Jungle Brunch on Fridays by Secret Parties is Phenomenal. They serve fixed menu with crazy drinks. Live DJ and entertainment make it a full on Party. Stunning View of Dubai Maria with indoor and outdoor terrace seating makes it really enjoyable and not to be missed brunch in Dubai. Park your car at Marina mall parking and walk through the mall to Pier 7. The new restaurant on the second floor of Pier 7 is a mystery to solve. The experience commences the moment elevator doors open and suddenly you find yourself surrounded by the sounds and colours of the world’s most precious rainforest. The visual of sunny pineapples being caramelized by bright orange flames through the panoramic open kitchen will build your appetite, and you’ll immediately want to place your order. Slow down and instead, take a good look at what’s going on.The sliding ceiling high gate at the reception is worth a fortune, potentially being the most expensive pieces of décor at Mama Zonia and made by a Thai artist exclusively for this space (the same artist who created a magnificent golden cage at Hotel Cartagena). Once you pass the gate, look to your right. A little lounge on a podium surrounded by greenery is not just another pretty spot but a revolving platform. I wonder if it was inspired by Austin Powers’ approach to living :)The next curiosity is a central glamorous bar with hidden mirrors and reflective surfaces. The bar stand itself is covered in clay tiles most probably recovered from the depths of Amazonian forests once belonging to Incas (knowing the owners I wouldn’t be surprised). The mixing crew a tough recruitment process, so do not be surprise to discover that everyone is a character. Take Vasile for example. Born in Russia, raised in Moldova and matured in Romania, he carries the weight of his life adventures inked into skin. Literally. Apart from an unbeatable life philosophy and sharp sense of humour, he is good at mixing a drink that suits one’s personality. He totally figured out my dear friend with a dedicated tequila based cocktail!Away from the bar, in the far most corner, stands a state of the art sushi bar with a team ready to roll. Fresh ingredients, a wild approach and a keen effort to serve the best made me remember to come back for a late night serving of sashimi, rare Asian beverages and a conversation.The DJ booth is a large wooden table packed with gadgets and glowing buttons. Behind it is a tiled wall with Disney-like saturated images of the rain forest and its inhabitants. The DJ’s appearance as a of Victoria Secret model is enhanced with a pair of Angel Wings and the most charming smile. Her name is Caroll and she is truly awesome.The rest of the indoor space is a large dining area with the elements of jungle chic and a touch of gold, a colour so loved in the region. The designer once again made wise use of reflective materials to give the interiors a breath taking view of Dubai Marina and the shimmering night lighting. The views are especially appreciated from the comfort of the outdoor terrace, high enough to keep you away from the traffic noise and low enough to enjoy watching the water canal busy with all kinds of boats.As for the food, it’s the mystery I failed to solve on my fist visit. Incredibly delicious and fresh in terms of ingredients and style, I failed to place a category tag on the dishes. Latin American? Caribbean? Exotic global? The answer is still there hiding in the jungles of Mama Zonia. Tell me what you think.

Views of the water way with boats docked in the Marina, the decor is fun, and most importantly, youll see late 20 year olds to mid 30s having fun taking selfish and laughing loud while the urban music plays louder. Food is delicious and service fantastic. Id come here with out of town friends who loke the younger vibe. The guacamole was outstanding and Im from California.
