Beautiful. Delicious. Grand. Celebratory. It’s my second time. Nice service. The only weird moment was when my husband ordered a drink from their cocktail menu, the waiter made an inappropriate comment by saying “are you sure? This drink is sweet. It’s usually ordered by ladies”. We brushed it off by taking it as a joke saying “haha it’s ok, it won’t hurt the masculinity to have a sweet drink for a change.” But it just felt odd. You don’t challenge customers choice. Especially not in a restaurant of such scale. Pasta was good. Tuna tartare too. Tartufo truffle Pizza was nice too, but felt like something is missing. Not that mind blowing. I even at some point felt like the one in Filia is even better. Also, when ordered our wine, a guy came back to serve and asked me “muscato for you?”. “No. Muscato not for me. Muscato for him. For me white wine”. It’s just those tiny little points… it’s just the two of us. Casual lunch. Bill nearing AED 1000. Maybe you can pay a little more attention and be a little less “assuming”and a little more focused ? :) but nevertheless, I love this place, I rate it 5/5. A nice touch with a chocolate box at the end. Super cute compliment with small doughnut-like desserts. Tiramisu was good, we couldn’t finish. Team was overall polite and friendly. Will come back again :)

Absolutely amazing experience with Chic Nonna. Starting from the booking which you can do online. Ambience is totally chic but with the twist of old/classy style exactly like the Nonna. Pasta could be a little bigger and there shouldn’t be small kids but otherwise everything was great. Your staff is professional and attentive with the attention to details. You can see culinary artists at work behind the open kitchen concept, and the service is top notch.I had visited for my birthday and had cake from outside, but they only allow you to cut cake from an external vendor at a fee.What I tried and loved:- Parmigiana: baked eggplant with mozzarella cheese- Asparagus lasagne- Focaccia do Recco: like a stuffed pizza (or paratha), which was so simple yet delicious! Not something you typically come across in Italian restaurants- Profiterole for dessert: I have never had profiteroles this lush and soft - they were EXCELLENT and must be tried!I did find the portion sizes a bit too small for the price point, but the quality, freshness and flavors were miles above par. Explains their recognition under the Michelin Guide 2023 👏🏼

Stunning restaurant on the ground floor of gate avenue mall. There’s free parking in the mall or they also offer valet too. Walk to the right of reception and look for the green door to enter. We tried a variety of dishes and everything was just perfect. Down to the fresh pasta cooked Al dente to the perfectly cooked saffron risotto with osso bucco. A lovely fine dining experience with cute finishing touches. Perfect place for date night.

My scallops were cooked quite poorly (one overcooked and two undercooked) but the flavour was good. Food is relatively simple Italian dishes but really well prepared, does not feel too complicated or pretentious. Vibe is 1930’s classy with contemporary design, very cool. Service is very attentive, although would say that when you seat early arriving guests, dont seat them in the middle of the room in the ”exposed” tables? Start filling by the windows etc, let the last arrivals to take the middle tables. Wine list is extensive but unfortunately very limited if you only want to drink wine by the glass. 3 wines in 75-80 aed, next one is 310 aed per glass. Something in the range between would make sense? I only wanted one glass of really nice wine and 300 a glass felt too much, hence was missing an option there. Will definitely visit again.

Went with friends for a business lunch and was disappointed to find not a single vegetarian main course on the menu. Was told I could have a pasta in tomato sauce but if I wanted anything else it would have to be a la carte. Given that our spend was almost dh300 pp, the attitude of cant be bothered was off-putting. They couldnt even do a simple pesto linguini. On the positive side, our server Bharat was absolutely fabulous, very attentive, helpful and so good natured.

It was our date night me and my wife so i decided to take her to Chic Nonna. Let me tell you its a hidden gem in Dubai! Its gave me a Milan vibe once we entered. It was a Wednesday and the the place was moderately full so it was perfect.The safe where amazing! As the hostess showed us to our table we saw another one that was not prepared that we liked by the window so my wife asked can we have that one, and she immediately obliged and in 2 mins it was ready.The menu options where not extensive HOWEVER what was on the menu was enough to satisfy all likes.We started with the Shrimp Salad and a small Piazza to share.our main dishes where the baby chicken and the Lasagna, along with the truffle potato for a side.we ended the night with a tasty Profiterole and some tea.The food was beautiful, the music was pleasant with a nice vibe not too loud that its over powering and not too low that you can hear it just right to fit as part of the background.Finally the staff, they were the stars of the place. they where attentive, very knowledge of the menu as they should be. very friendly.At the end of our dinner we wanted to take some pics, so three different waiters came bay to assist as to get the best photos.I would highly recommend going there to anyone who is looking for a nice romantic or date night dinner. oh and we ended up paying less than 1k AED for two.

Marvelous experience! Phelopateer was our waiter and - wow! Great job, very attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and perfect service. Special shout-out also to the sommelier who found the perfect wine for us. We go out a lot and we know most of the best restaurants in Dubai but Chic Nonna really stands out. One of the best Italian restaurants in Dubai, so far. Very good quality and consistency. It’s on the pricey side. The setting is very upscale, and the diners are mostly well-off. I often see some Italians here as well. The dishes are fairly traditional with minimal twists and innovations. That being said, the food is delicious and it’s highly likely that whatever you order will be good.I can recommend some dishes:- Parmigiana: they make one of the best in Dubai.- Foccacia: I forgot the exact name, but it’s a thin focaccia with stracchino cheese, if I’m not mistaken. The taste is reminiscent of… manakeesh with akawi cheese! Try it.- Pizza with raw prawns, stracciatella cheese, lemon, and pistachio crumbles. The prawns are small and have a hint of sweetness with very light taste. This one is good.- Lasagne: they recently introduced this dish, and it was a wise decision. You can’t go wrong with lasagne, especially this one.- Risotto: they change their risottos every few months. I’m not really a risotto guy, but the risotto they make here is way better than many restaurants in Dubai. It’s enjoyable to the point that you can actually finish your dish and not feel bored by the bland taste and texture as in many other places. I tried the saffron risotto and pumpkin risotto, both were pretty good.- Pasta: of course. I liked the genovese and arrabbiata (you can ask for it). Many pastas here are fairly simple but well-executed. However, the cacio e pepe with white raw prawns was not that good given its price (and the simplicity of ingredients in cacio e pepe). Not sure about the newer version with “8 different peppers”.- Mains: I can’t recommend anything from the mains as I don’t usually order them.- Sweets: Torta della nonna is great, especially when taking a spoonful of everything, including the pine nuts and candied lemon peels (or orange?).I also have to mention that the service here is always great. This is a big plus, of course.So far, chic nonna has been one of the best restaurants in Dubai, and I believe that it deserves more recognition, but we will see whether it will stand the test of time or not.

I was hosted by my management company and had an excellent business lunch at Chic Nonna. The standard is very high with charming waiting staff, great ambiance and well monied clientele from the DIFC. You know you are in a high end establishment when the table clothes are old fashioned i.e. good quality and the table crumber comes out :). The bread offering was divine and the olive oil and balsamic as high a standard as everything else here. I had the beef tartare to start, followed by the lamb ragu and for dessert shared a tiramisu and a baked cheese cake.Everything was perfection! I would have loved to take the little green purse they put the bill in with me :). This has definitely been added to one my go to for incredible food in the DIFC when I go for my meetings
